News from Turkey and the world that may affect the stock market: free news feeds, and the review the AI writes every evening after checking these news with its own web searches.
AI end-of-day review
What it is: The review the AI writes on the day's news, the KAP disclosures of the followed companies and the market close: key developments, their effects, their verification status and their sources.
What data feeds it: The NEWS_DIGEST job, which runs every day at 22:30 (Europe/Istanbul); the news_digest table. The AI is given at most 250 of that day's headlines (first 30 from each source, Turkish economy and markets first), the KAP disclosures and the closing data. The model is the strong model the administrator set for the provider the user chose (with Multi LLM, the model or group chosen in ConsensusRoom); it can make at most 8 web searches. The review is made separately for each user and paid for through that user's AI choice: with their own key or from ConsensusRoom credit. No review is made for a user whose AI cannot be used. The spending appears in the usage table of the My account screen.
What it shows: A one-sentence summary and an overall assessment of the day; a direction for the market (from very negative to very positive); developments in order of importance with their categories, direction of effect, affected sectors and stocks, verification status (verified, partly, could not be verified, sources conflict) and source links; the news impact for stocks; news that could not be verified; things to watch tomorrow; the searches Claude made and the sources it cited; the number of news items used, the number of searches and the cost.
What can be concluded from it: This is a commentary, not a measurement: it has not passed the application's two-period test and does not change the signals on Summary. Trading on developments marked "Could not be verified" or "Sources conflict" is especially risky. The AI's direction scores for stocks and the market are stored; once enough days have accumulated, their relation to the subsequent return can be measured.
News feed
What it is: Headlines from free RSS and Atom feeds, newest first; can be filtered by period, source, ticker and text.
What data feeds it: The NEWS job, which runs every half hour; the news_item table. Only the headline, the link, a summary of at most 600 characters and the publication time are stored; the full story is read on the source site. A story is matched to a followed stock if the stock's code appears in the headline or summary in capitals as a whole word.
What it shows: Publication time, source, headline (clicking opens the story itself; hovering shows the summary) and the matched tickers.
What can be concluded from it: A story appearing in more than one source may indicate that it is important, but does not prove that it is true. Stocks are matched only by code; stories that mention the company by name are not matched.
News sources
What it is: The 22 free feeds the application reads: Turkish economy and markets (Anadolu Ajansı, Bloomberg HT, Foreks, Investing.com TR, Dünya, Ekonomim, Habertürk, NTV, CNN Türk, TRT Haber, Sözcü), Turkish current affairs (AA Güncel, Politika, Dünya), global (CNBC, MarketWatch, BBC) and official (Fed, ECB).
What data feeds it: The news_source table. Requests are conditional (ETag and Last-Modified): a feed that has not changed is not downloaded again. A site that refuses the request with 403 or 429 is marked BLOCKED and not requested for six hours. The Central Bank of Turkey (TCMB), the Capital Markets Board (SPK), the Treasury and TÜİK are not on the list because they offer no machine-readable feed; their announcements come through the news agencies.
What it shows: Source, type, last read time, status (read, unchanged, blocked, error), the number of new items in the last read, the number of items received today, and an on/off switch for the administrator.
What can be concluded from it: The address of a source showing "error" or "blocked" for a long time may have changed; it can be switched off. Every read is also written to the job log (Settings › Scheduler).
